Rain, downpours and strong winds are likely in the North, Northeast, Central Region, East and Western South, as well as Bangkok and its outskirts, it said in an announcement issued on Monday evening. Its strength will ease into low-pressure pockets when it enters Laos and Thailand’s upper Northeast and North, respectively, it said. The southwestern monsoon still dominates the Andaman Sea, resulting in heavy rains in some southern areas, it said.
